It is the third most populous country in the world after China, Canada, and Russia. most populous nation, home to around 333 million people.

The moniker "Uncle Sam" comes from a meatpacker named Samuel Wilson, who during the War of 1812 provided beef barrels to the army, branding the barrels with the initials "U.S." (for the United States), which the troops then repurposed to signify "Uncle Sam's." 

- Environmental studies estimate that Americans discard 4.4 pounds of rubbish every day. Wow, it works out to over 1.4 billion pounds daily! 

- The Star-Spangled Banner, which was composed in 1814, serves as the United States national song. 

Nearly 90% of Americans claim to know the whole words of the national anthem!
